Brett Colby is an expressionist painter who makes artworks and ties them together with authored narratives. Born and raised in heroin ridden Lawrence Massachusetts, Brett followed Neighborhood kids and his brother Alex tagging trains as a little kid and stepped into street art and tagged under the name "Motz". Entrenched in a life of addiction, Brett's older brother died at 27. along with 5 of his closest friends dying before that age to overdose and suicide. Brett uses art and writing to compile emotions and experience into a perspective worth sharing, and to carry over the memory of those lost as he struggles through surviving an addiction no one else around him has.
